Terms of Service
1. Who we are
CertPilot AI is operated by Ndlovu Group PTY LTD (registration number 2026/091534/07), a company registered in Republic of South Africa. ("CertPilot AI", "we", "us", or "our").
CertPilot AI is an independent, AI-assisted study platform that helps people prepare for professional certification exams, starting with CompTIA Security+. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, application, and related services (together, the "Service").
2. Not affiliated with CompTIA
CompTIA®, Security+®, Microsoft®, and Amazon Web Services® (AWS) are registered trademarks of their respective owners. CertPilot AI is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS, or any other certification vendor. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
All practice questions, explanations, and decoded answers on CertPilot AI are original works we have written to publicly published exam objectives. We do not use, reproduce, or distribute actual CompTIA exam questions, and we do not accept, request, or store real exam content submitted by users (see Section 5).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate, current information when you register, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
4. Accounts & security
Keep your password confidential. Tell us immediately at support@certpilotai.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload, paste, or otherwise submit actual exam content ("braindumps") to the Exam Decoder or any other part of the Service;
- Use the Service in any way that would violate the candidate agreement of CompTIA or any other exam provider;
- Scrape, bulk-extract, or systematically copy our question bank or other content;
- Share your account credentials with, or grant access to, anyone else;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
We may suspend access, decline to process a submission, or terminate an account for breach of this section.
6. AI-generated content
Explanations, decodes, and other content generated by our AI features are produced automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies. They are study aids intended to support your learning, not a substitute for official exam objectives or professional instruction. Always verify important technical details independently.
7. No guarantee of results
Readiness scores, progress statistics, and any other performance indicators shown in the Service are statistical estimates based on your recent activity. They are not a promise, prediction, or guarantee that you will pass any exam. Your results depend on many factors outside our control.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including our question bank, explanations, software, and branding, is owned by Ndlovu Group PTY LTD and protected by intellectual property law. You may use it only for your own personal exam preparation.
Questions or answer options you paste into the Exam Decoder remain yours. By submitting them, you grant us a limited licence to process that content — including by sending it to third-party AI providers such as Anthropic — solely to generate and return the decode to you. You confirm that you have the right to submit that content and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights or any exam provider's candidate agreement.
9. Subscriptions & billing
CertPilot AI is currently in a free waitlist phase. This section describes how billing will work once paid subscriptions launch.
- Prices are shown before you purchase, in the currency displayed at checkout;
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled; this is disclosed clearly at checkout;
- You can cancel at any time through your account settings, on a self-serve basis, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period;
- All sales are processed by a third-party merchant of record, who handles payment collection, tax, and invoicing on our behalf.
10. Cooling-off & withdrawal
If you are a South African consumer, you have a 7-day cooling-off right under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. Because our Service is digital content delivered immediately, this right is waived only where you expressly consent, at checkout, to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your withdrawal right by doing so. This consent mechanism is provided by our merchant of record at checkout.
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full mechanics.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including Section 5 (Acceptable use), and will where reasonably possible give you notice first.
12. Limitation of liability & indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertPilot AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including any exam outcome. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer- protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
